It’s important to keep abreast of what’s going on, but not be overwhelmed by it.  I use a variety of methods to keep myself educated:

  • Industry and business news: Including local and national press, trade journals, business publications, HBR, IoD, Business Insider and The Recruiter;
  • Network: Local conferences, industry talks, business groups;
  • Customer feedback; and
  • Professional Development: Improving my own learning and development through sales and marketing courses, and a business coach.
